Slickepott: funny Swedish name, serious chocolate fudge sauce. Everyone falls in love with this velvety ganache: drizzled on ice cream, clinging to fresh fruit, adorning cakes, pies and pastries; even on pretzels and chips; or by the spoonful right from the jar! In addition to the flavor, people appreciate the fact that Slickepott is made with the best natural ingredients: no corn syrup, artificial sweeteners, preservatives, or thickening agents.

Slickepott was founded in 2007, shortly after I completed my first twelve years of education at home. I had decided to pursue a degree in business without taking on debt and started with the maxim, “If you want to learn about business, start one!” Thus, I have been gaining knowledge and experience, while earning money, by providing chocolate lovers everywhere with a new and improved version of my family’s rich chocolate fudge sauce.

Where did the name ‘Slickepott’ (pronounced: slick-uh-put) come from?...my Swedish grandmother. Slickepott is a Swedish idiom, referring to the index finger or a rubber spatula; a verb to describe licking something delicious from a bowl, spoon, or beater; and has also been used as an affectionate nickname for ‘the one who licks the bowl’.
